Shelbrooke was too engrossed in staring at Lyne that he was unaware when Zeidan turned and grabbed his ankle making him fall. As Reyns moved to attack him, Zeidan grabbed his spear on the floor and pointed it at Reyns who chuckled and drew out his long swords.
"I'm sorry that you got played not once but twice, Zeidan. However, we can't blame you but the bitch that always thought she saw the good in you." Reyns said as they turned to the center of the field, each of them stretching their weapons at the other.
"I didn't ask her to find the good in me. I was already good to myself." Zeidan replied, his eyes not leaving Reyns and his swords.
"Then, it's obvious, you had her under your magical spell. Once we have the Onyx, I'll have the power to break that stupid spell you placed on her."
Zeidan huffed. "Admit it. You like her and you're just afraid that she'll reject you if you let your true intention known."
The other man held on tightly to his swords now stepping forward. "That's never the case. I just hope her eyes are opened soon and one day she gets to appreciate that she left you."
"Right now, I'm the happiest man on earth. Because she left."
Reyns swung his swords skillfully and slashed at him but he blocked the two with his spear by turning the long rod crossly. Reyns removed his swords, aiming one for his stomach, and the other for his neck. Zeidan bent backward to dodge it when someone pulled him on the neck and made him fall on his back, hitting his head on the floor.
He felt a jolt in his chest that made him cough and wheeze. He held his chest for breath and soon the clouds began to gather. He found his way to stand up despite the wind picking up.
He squinted to see who was before him only to see Reyns swirling his sword to tear off his throat and that would be the end. He would die and nothing would be done about it. However, as he raised his hand, a huge white Wolf jumped on Reyns and before he knew anything, his stomach was torn apart. Lyne made sure to tear his flesh apart until it was no longer possible for him to be human any longer.
Zeidan fell to the ground, getting weak and the thunder rumbled, droplets of rain touching the ground. Lyne shifted but still had on her clothes and ran towards him, kneeling and holding his face in her hands.
"My love," she called, rubbing her thumb on his wounded areas. "I'll make them pay for this."
"The Wolves," he managed to say, his breathing ragged. "How did you..."
"They came willingly. We need to forget about that and focus on you."
"Don't worry about me, I'll self-heal." He managed to say.

Lyne looked at his face and his condition got her worried but as she looked above his head, something got her more worried.
She caught sight of Luana from afar holding Aurora in her arms and walking fast through the corridor. Like a lightning flash, she left Zeidan, grabbed one of the swords, and ran after her in the rain that fell heavily.
Luana saw her coming after her from afar ran to the back of the city gate and she knew she wanted to lay an ambush for her thinking she was still foolish. Lyne climbed a mountain close to the forest and ran on it, her sight not leaving Luana who went deeper into the forest. Lyne followed suit.
"Why the hell does she have my daughter?" She muttered, breathing heavily as she glanced back for a while at the now intense war.

With the fear of the unknown, she walked right through the forest, dodging her head a little to go under the overhead branches. As she went further into the forest, only the active crickets could be heard and the whooshing sound of a picking wind. The rain dropped at a faster rate each second. She looked around, her boots stepping into the muddy water in the forest.
"Aurora?!" She shouted, hoping to hear her. Her heart thuds hard against her chest and she felt nauseous, more like weak. "Aurora!" She looked back and something caught her eye.
A darker route showed up before her and she moved towards it, wondering if that was where Luana had kept Aurora. She rested her shaky hand on the head of her sword that was kept in her scabbard right by her side, getting ready to draw out and fight whatever comes her way.
Her gaze was fixed on the darkness with each step she took. But as she stretched her hand to touch it, the rain pattering her arm, something heavy hit her head and she fell into the muddy water with a thud, passing out immediately.
Coughing and breathing shallowly, Lyne opened her eyes and saw herself in a small enclosed cave. She tried to move but realized that her hands had been tied to each side of a pole. She struggled to break free. She tried shifting but she was too weak to.
"Arrgh!" She cried in pain when the iron chains pinched her skin in an attempt to break free.
Just then, she heard clicking heels echoing in the cave. Apart from that, a distant rush of water could be heard. As she looked around, she noticed she was tied to the middle of the cave surrounded by rushing water. She looked up and who came out of the dark shocked her.
"Luana." She called feebly, but nothing else shattered her heart other than seeing her grab her daughter in as well.
Aurora was now covered in small scratches and her lips bled. Her eyes raged and she felt like fire was burning inside her as her gum itched and her fangs got out. Snarling and gritting her teeth at Luana, she would stop at nothing to make sure this bitch pays for the pain she has caused her.
"Oh, how sweet. It's just a pity you couldn't sit your ass back down in Los Angeles. Maybe, your daughter wouldn't be in so much danger." Luana spoke up, an evil smile curving her lips.
"However, it's too late now to make amends. The only thing you can do is say your goodbyes and voila."
She laughed hysterically which infuriated Lyne. She could no longer control her Wolf which tried so hard to come out, if only she was strong enough. She stretched and struggled, pulling at the chains as she looked at her daughter whose pale eyes are now glassy.
"Mummy!" She cried.
"Grrrr! Arrgh!" She snapped, her eyes and teeth still in form of a Wolf's and gradually her claws began to form. Her bones creaked and they were getting stronger.
"Oh, little baby, don't cry." Luana drawled, grabbing Aurora's chin and pressing it, making the little girl shriek.
Her painful cry all over the cave seeped into Lyne's ears she screamed along with her daughter, and broke the first side of the chain, breathing raggedly. Her eyes were now purely red and she had her eyes on Luana. She groaned, screamed, and pulled until the second hand was free.
Lyne fell to the floor, hands placed on the cold surface of the cave. She looked up at Luana who spread her hands and her eyes had turned black as well. Smiling wickedly, her two sharp vampire teeth were also out and she did something unimaginable. She carried Aurora and threw her into the river.
"No!!" Lyne screamed as she watched her baby float on the surface and the water carrying her away.
Something else caught her eye. It was green and flashy. She looked back and saw Luana holding the Onyx in her hand.
"Save your daughter or fight me and get back the Onyx. It's your choice to make."
