Chapter 53 Left Ou

|Grey|

I watched Everleigh across the hall with a smirk on my lips. And I felt proud, cause at first I thought she would have a hard time socialising because she was shy as well as she couldn't speak.

But much to my surprise, I found many omegas flocked around her, talking to her. Though I didn't know and couldn't hear what they were talking about, I knew they were treating her well by her facial expressions. She had that rare smile on her lips which wasn't fake or pretentious but genuine.

Lunchtime went well, with me watching her from my table and stating facts with my friends from time to time. But I didn't see my parents around even for a second. So they were still in a disapproving mood.

At the end of the day, I watched from afar as my pack members flocked to the training grounds waiting for my arrival. But I was really nervous. I was nervous thinking about whether my decisions were right or not and whether my parents would approve of them. Soon after, Kavin came to me and led me through the crowd to the front.

As soon as I stood in front of the crowd, my eyes met with Everleigh, who looked away instantly, knowing so well we shouldn't act too close in front of the pack members. I really adored her way of listening to me.

"Good evening." I greeted them as I started the short meeting.

"Good evening, alpha," everyone greeted me back in unison.

"Ahem, I called for this short announced meeting before lunch to say a few things. First, let's welcome a new member to our pack," I said, motioning my hand at Everleigh, who tried her best to look invisible and blended as usual. So I decided to move on from her after a small introduction. "She's Everleigh from the Blue Crystal Pack. As usual, treat her well and help her get blend with the pack." I said.

"Moving on from her, there are some issues with the omega schedules. Prior Luna will inform the omegas about the new schedules soon." I said.

A beta girl raised her hand; "Are we going to continue the same schedule for the new year?" asked.

"I was hoping to continue the same schedule, but if you have requests, you can tell them to Kavin. He might consider them. But the training times won't change." I replied.

At the end of the short meeting, I was in my room with a scowl on my face.

"Seriously, alpha. I saw you sneaking into her room just this morning, and you are planning to see her again during the night?" Kavin blabbered.

"I asked you to tell her where she should meet me! But you didn't! Why are you making it more complicated?" I exclaimed in frustration.

"Yes, I am sorry, I can't do that! You already met her. And it would be best if you keep your distance for a few weeks at least. I mean, everyone in the pack knows you don't befriend omegas because you don't have time. So if they find you are sparing a lot of time for her, it will already create a rumour." he said in a serious tone.

"I so hate this situation. I can't believe we have to keep this a secret, and for how long?!" I exclaimed.

"You'll get through this."

I had dinner on a table filled with omegas. There were chitter-chatter and laughter everywhere as they talked, played with food, made fun of each other and so on. I just silently looked at everyone as they talked and had their leisure time.

Everything that happened around me felt so new to me.

Starting from how I got full meals at meal times. I've never had that many full meals in my entire life. It was basically two times larger in content than what I got back in Blue Crystal Pack. Even in lunch, I couldn't finish even half of it. I couldn't believe how omegas had the luxury of eating a lot, just like everyone.

I poked at my spaghetti with the fork I had in my hands. The first few bites filled me to the rim that I couldn't eat more. But I didn't want to look rude by eating less. It was just that my stomach could only hold a bit of food, not a lot.

"Yes!! Even I got new shoes! I don't know, and I think those would be useful on track!" the girl with blond hair exclaimed.

"But I still can't believe prior luna increased our practice time!" the guy with really short hair pouted.

"Well. We are now oldies, so we don't need more hours of omega education. Now, all we need is more practice for self-defence. Hmph, we should go against those betas. They tease us all the time. Even my mate!" the blond-haired girl whined.

"And I become a blushing mess when Kavin teaches us! I can't control it!" the tallest among them said.

"He's handsome."

"Of course. And a playboy."

They continued gossiping about numerous pack members. Looking at them and listening to every word they said, I felt left out. It was adorable to listen to their conversations. But for once, I was mute, and I was also inexperienced in being around new people. I had no idea what they were talking about.

And every omega looked so happy, and there I saw no difference between any pack members. They all seemed equally delighted, content and connected... I shuddered and looked down at my bowl of spaghetti.

'What if everyone laughed and said they were all acting to be nice?? And they are also bullies! That they were only making fun of me?!'

I mentally shook that thought aside.

But the feeling of being left out, the sense of not being part of the new place, didn't leave me.

I felt terrible for following Grey here, and he was nowhere to be seen either.

"Hey, fresh cake. Do you know sign language?" the blond-haired girl suddenly spoke.

Everyone's attention was on me.

I timidly shook my head.

"Ou. Too bad, a lot here knows because alpha's sister right there is mute," she added, pointing at the girl who was sitting next to Kavin. "She's around... six or seven, and she likes Kavin's company 'cause he knows how to handle a mute omega with a tantrum."

I slightly laughed at her words, and everyone at the table laughed as well. I really wished to learn sign language, though it was complicated. I could remember the times Grey tried to teach me.

"No worries, I am sure prior Luna has a plan for you," she added.

"I heard you are from Blue Crystal Pack. Was it really bad there?" the girl with glasses asked.

"Shh, don't ask her like that!" the tall one smacked the other's head.

I wanted to say that I didn't mind. So I shook my head with a smile.

I realised everything that happened in the Blue Crystal Pack was nothing but famous secrets. But I knew no one knew the dark secrets that occurred inside.

"Does Luna hit people there?" the glasses girl asked again.

I slowly nodded.

"Oh. Never mind, that doesn't happen here. You can be totally free, but that doesn't mean you won't get penalties. Haha."

I could only smile at her words.
