Selena looked curiously at him, probably questioning what made him act out of character, before answering coolly,
"She went out about half an hour before you came in"
"Went out? Where did she go?", He asked, the surprise evident in his voice, as he wasn't expecting the answer he got.
"Her friend came, and he took her for a drive. He was a really handsome one!", Sophie replied provokingly.
"Her friend? Was it Charlie?", He asked turning to Selena as Nina's agent and CEO of her company, Charlie was the only male friend he could think of close enough to bring her out for a drive.
"No, it wasn't Charlie. It was Ty". Color drained from Justin's face when he heard her answer.
He asked again, his voice trembling as he heavily punctuated his words.
"WHO. DID. YOU. JUST. SAY. TOOK. HER. OUT?!"
Selena looked uncomprehendingly at him even as she began to feel uneasy at the look on his face before answering patiently once again,
"Tyson Peters! He was the one who took her for a drive".
Mrs Walters and Sophie also began to feel that something was wrong.
Justin ignored them and his hands trembled as he took out his cell phone and dialed Ryan's number. It rang for a few seconds before the other side picked up and without waiting for him to speak, Justin urgently informed him, oblivious to the fact that his voice was quaking,
"Ty has made his move. He kidnapped Nina".
Color drained from Selena, Mrs Walters and Sophie's faces when they heard his words. They sprung up anxiously from their seats, moving closer to Justin, they wanted answers, but they knew it wasn't the right time now.
Ryan sat upright on the chair inside his office at Night Kingdom when he heard Justin's words on the phone, surprising Dan, who also happened to be beside him.
"How the hell did she get kidnapped from your place?! How long has it been?", He asked with worry in his voice.
"He… came to visit as a friend, then he took her out for a drive. It has been about half an hour. F*ck! It's all my fault! I never told her it was him who set me up, as I thought she might not believe me. She had no reason to suspect him as long as I had no evidence, but I never thought it would eventually put her in danger! If I knew this would happen, I would have told her everything, all consequences be damned!", He said as he punched the wall, furious at himself.
The other trio also experienced shock at the sudden intake of information. Selena in particular was very shocked and thought with some ruefulness to herself,
'Who would have thought that he was set up?'
Fury also appeared on her sweet face on recalling what her dear friend had been through because of this whole misunderstanding!
She already didn't like Tyson before but now, she completely hated his guts!
Mrs Walters rushed to Justin's side and grabbed his bloodied fist in worry and reprimanded him harshly, tears swimming in her eyes,
"Are you going to incapacitate yourself before we find her? Who is going to look for her if you inflict injury on yourself? Get yourself together! She and the baby are still waiting for you to save them, You can't let them down!"
Justin seemed to awaken from his stupor as he thought dazedly to himself,
'Yes, Nina was waiting for him, She and their baby... He couldn't afford to be distracted now!'
He turned full attention to the ongoing call on his phone and continued saying with solemnity and determination.
"Ryan, I need you to deploy everyone. She needs to be found soon, you all know the special condition she is in right now. We can't afford to let anything happen to her and the baby".
"Got it. I already started giving out orders the moment you told me. Thankfully, it has just been around half an hour. She is going to be fine, brother."
"Mn. I will rally all our connections to find out the houses under his names or maybe his subordinates. Maybe there might be a lead there."
"He is not that dump to keep her in one of those houses, but you can use try searching under his new name, Tyson Simmons and one more thing, I need to give you a heads-up, Jay... He might have already flown out of the country, even though we already had them keep a lookout for all the passageways out of the country since the time he schemed against you. He might still have slipped out with a little of disguise here and there ", Ryan frankly told him, then waited for him to digest the news.
Justin stiffened at the news, 'Yes, that was true, how could he have forgotten that he might have already taken her out of the country?'
"I will cross that bridge when I get there. For now I just need you to deploy your men to comb through everywhere. I will also send the surveillance image of the car he drove to come pick her up, it might lead to something or not." He replied calmly, reverting to his cold and unapproachable persona.
"Dan and I would like to come over, but we need to oversee the operations, understand?"
Justin felt warmth in his heart when he heard him.
"Thank you, Brother. I owe you one".
"You owe me nothing, Bro. That's why we are brothers. Try not to upset yourself too much, we will find her", Ryan comforted him a little bit more before promptly hanging up to focus fully on teacking Nina's whereabouts.
When they saw he was done with the call, Selena and Sophie also came over to his side, looking up at him with panicked expressions on their faces. It looked like Selena wanted to say something, but in the end she just looked up at him and asked with some composure.
"What can we do to help?".
Justin admired her calmness at this point, because seriously now, he didn't want to be barraged with questions. He would rather use his time to call in more favors.
"You can call Charlie and make use of his connections to find out all the buildings and apartments under a Tyson Peters or Tyson Simmons."
"Alright, got it", She replied concisely, before taking out her phone to call Charlie.
Justin turned to Sophie contemplatively before saying,
"Sophie, you call Brian and tell him that his sister is missing. He will decide on what he plans to do."
Mrs Walters then asked him worriedly when she saw him heading towards the door,
"What are you going to do?"
"Mom, I am heading over to Ryan's place and I will also be contacting the chief of the police unit and some others, to also help deploy some people on my way there. I also plan to get the surveillance footage as well."
She wanted to say something, but in the end kept it in. She now realized that her son was no longer the little boy in her memory anymore, he was now a man with responsibility. A man with his own family who he had to protect!
She stared at his back which seemed to have his determination written all over it till he was gone and could only sigh faintly while praying for Nina and her grandchild's safety.
