Chapter 40 Rogue Gangs

|Grey|
My selected warriors and I, including Kavin, made ourselves through the thick woods that became darker and creepier with every step we kept forward. In our wolf forms, we skidded through the bushes and trees. Our paws buried an inch or two on the wet ground as we walked.
As I led the group further, I had to stop so we would be able to hear and guess even the simplest move from time to time.
'I think we are near the den.' Adrian, one of the warriors, said from behind as he sniffed the air. He was well known in the pack as the 'super smeller' because he had that great ability to scent anything from afar than the other werewolves could.
So our group became more aware of our surroundings because anytime the rogues would be able to scent us. And after walking for another half a mile, we got hit by so many rotten pheromones. We sniffed around to see where they might be.
'They are to our right, alpha,' Adrian guided us as he leapt to the front. We ran after him together, and finally, we arrived at a little clearing with a small den at the corner.
I walked ahead of everyone and growled to let the rogues know that 'we are here.' It was an eerie silence for a second. Then we saw glowing eyes emerging through the darkness of the woods. Soon after, we had around fifteen rogues surrounding us. They had us outnumbered, but I knew we could rip all of their heads if we wanted.
'Where's the leader?' I growled.
A wolf with one eye jumped in front of me with a sickening growl. It was small than me but looked fierce in a kind of way.
'You think you can come to our territory and order us around?' he asked. I couldn't help but notice the saliva stripes that escaped his lips as he talked; he was a wild rogue. I took a step forward, and he moved back.
'Or do you want me to find him myself?' I threatened.
Then it all happened at once. We heard a loud growl and saw a dark silhouette of an enormous wolf who was as big as me leap through the woods. I dug my paws to the ground, ready to pounce at him because it seemed as if he was aiming at me. But he only jumped at the one-eyed wolf in front of me and clawed at him.
The one-eyed wolf snarled and ran away from there, whimpering aloud.
'It's going.' Adrian said to me through his mind link.
'Who?'
'The familiar scent. He was among the ones who tried to attack us and others here... I don't recognise their scents.' he admitted.
I averted my attention at the leader, who looked at me, waiting for me to speak.
'Gaston...' I said with a low growl.
'Grey.' he mockingly copied my tone.
'Did you think you could get away after trying to attack my pack?' I asked, even though I knew he wasn't part of it.
'You clearly know I am not part of it... but-' he stopped saying.
'Fine, I already know it was the one whom you clawed at. The one-eye,' I said.
'I already took one of his eyes for what he did. You should return to your pack now.' he growled.
'I am here for revenge or a peace agreement. And I hope you won't bother me with my idea.' I said with a smirk.

'Of course, I won't. Everyone knows no one can go against you.' he spat out half-heartedly. He was an alpha, and no alpha liked to submit themselves to another. But he knew he had no choice.
'This is your territory. I want you to know that and never bother my pack members.' I said.
'What do I get in return?' he asked.
'A fair deal; we can help each other with any attacks. Seek for help.' I said, adding, 'But a single betrayal will cost you your life.'
'I can say the same for you.'
And just like that, our conversation was done and over. Though I still couldn't talk with the real ones who tried to attack us, I walked away because I knew it would bring me nothing but more trouble. My pack might be the largest, but that didn't mean I should put their lives in danger by trying to take in more territories.
'You did great, alpha.' Kavin appreciated my work as he walked next to me in our sync slow pace.
'That one-eyed shithead won't back down, Kavin.' I muttered.
'How'd you say so?'
'It is obvious he wasn't under Gaston. He will try to attack us again.' I shortly explained.
'Enlighten me, alpha, Grey. My small brain can't think all these things.' he said, bumping his shoulder on mine. I rolled my eyes at him.
'I mean, the 'one eye' works with some other people. With the tone Gaston talked, didn't you feel like the one-eye almost seemed like an outsider?'
'You are right, alpha now, when you say that, I realised. So there's another gang who's waiting to attack us.'
'Yes, the only option left is war. I don't think those idiots will agree to a peaceful agreement without asking for a huge chunk of territory. Which I won't give to them.'

Soon after, we arrived at the packhouse. I walked across the corridors in my wolf form when I couldn't find my clothes where I left them in the woods. Everyone who was in my way quickly scattered due to the dark aura of the emotions I held because of the stupid rogues. I was pissed off about the one-eye.
Once I was in my room alone, I shifted back to my human form. And suddenly, that only action made me remember the time I shifted to my human form in the woods of Blue Crystal Pack with a little omega staring at me as if I was under the spotlight of her world. Damn, I loved that attention.
'No worries, you will be able to see her soon. And only staring won't do the job, huh?' Blue teased.
"Shut up. It's not like we have different thoughts." I teased back.
I walked to the washroom to take a shower because I couldn't take one when I woke up to leave as I was late. I closed the door behind me and went into the showering area.
I turned on the shower, and it started spraying droplets of water down my body. The water didn't linger on my body long, instead went on a journey down to my chest, to my lower abdomen, to my groin, down to my thighs, and finally dropped to the wet ground.
'When are we going to fetch her?' Blue suddenly asked me in a needy voice.
'As soon as possible. I am thinking of the day after tomorrow. I will talk about her with mom and dad tomorrow. It will go smoothly if it goes according to our plan.'
'So much confidence, huh? I am so excited to have Sparkle next to me! Don't forget to give me a charge for a while. I can't remember the last time I bonded and cuddled with her.' my needly wolf added.
'As you wish, Mr Blue.' I said, chuckling at his behaviour.
