Chapter 13 His Cousin

"Oof!" I yelled.
Arron abruptly halted and turned around, his gaze falling on my wounded leg, and he jogged towards me.
"What happened, are you all right?" he inquired, frowning and lightly rubbing my hurt leg.
"I slipped off so my leg," I explained to him, gulping and closing my eyes as I winced from the pain in my ankle. A small amount of blood is also on the way.
"Seriously, girl, why are you so clumsy and silly, huh, you can't even look after yourself?" With wrinkled brows and a straight gaze into my eyes, he remarked, shaking his head.
I scowled and let out a little gasp as I looked at him. "It's not my fault, what can I do if I fall by accident, you're acting as if I did it on purpose," I said to him.
As my shoulders slumped back, he checked my leg again, rubbing it tenderly, and I closed my eyes, biting my lips and swallowing the anguish in my leg.
"I'll take you inside your room,"  I split my lips slightly tasting his scent as he cradled me in his arms, my head resting on his broad chest and hands behind his neck.
We entered my room, and he gently placed me on my bed, which I adjusted over.
Then he brings the ointment and begins applying it to my wound, delicately applying the ointment so that it does not harm me. I can see his deep crystal blue eyes have worried emotion for me; they are some of the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. I look at his face; he is devilishly handsome, but he despises me. He started leaving my room after he completed applying ointment to my wound.
I mumbled, "Um, Aaron."
"Hmm," he remarked.
"Could you please bring my pajamas from my closet because I am unable to walk," I asked him carefully? I'm not sure how he'll react.
He nodded and walked over to my closet, bringing my pink, eye-catching, and comfortable pajamas.
"Um Aaron, bring them closer to me, I can't take them from that far," I cooed at him when an amazing thought came to mind.
Let me also see how long you would remain like ice, Mr.Devil, as he looked at me straight-faced as if he wasn't moved by me.
I leaned in closer to him when he brought those pajamas near me, and immediately gave him a small kiss on his smiling cheeks.
With raised eyebrows, he hastily backed away from me.
"Thank you, my darling hubby," I answered with a shrug.
"I am not your husband, we are not real couples," he said coldly as he reached up to us to leave my room. "I hate you, understand," he said, "so never try to become my wife or come close to me."
*********
Through the wide glass window in my bedroom, rays of sunlight fell on my face, and I gently opened my eyes.
Then I rose up from my bed and examined my leg; the pain in my ankle was still minimal compared to last night, and the wound had begun to heal, sighing. I gazed at the wall-mounted digital clock.
What the hell, it's 11 a.m., I overslept shit Aaron, he's already gone to his office, I can't even prepare his lunch, did he do his breakfast, I clenched my teeth and fidgeted with the duvet that was still draped around my waist.
Then Amy came in my room with a tray of breakfast and three other maids, one of whom was carrying painkiller medicine.
Amy smiled at me and asked, "How was your night sweetheart, did you sleep well?" She brought my food on the table near my bed and motioned the other maids to leave.
"Amy, why didn't you wake me up? Aaron has already left for work, and I won't be able to make his lunch. Did he brace his breakfast?" I expressed my concern to her.
"Yes, sweetie," she replied, as I felt tingling in my skin, "your husband has already gone to the office, and he finished his breakfast properly okay, but not before checking on you."
"What he came to check on my morning in my room," I inquired, a gradual smile on my face.
"Yes, my girl, you know, I've known him since he was a child, and when his parents died when he was only eleven, he became lonely, and the pain of losing his loved ones made him cold-hearted and stone, but you know, since the day you came into his life, his cold eyes started showing emotions that we never imagined could ever see, and he also cares a lot about you, he strictly instructed me and other maids to give you proper breakfast when you will wake up," She told me.

"But he will never accept that he cares for me," I remarked, a weak smile on my face after hearing her comments.
"No dear, eternity does not think like this," she said, raising her eyebrows. "I am sure one day he will realise your importance and how lucky he was to have you."
After that, I ate my breakfast and went to the bathroom. My leg is much better now, and I am able to walk normally.
I wore a floral short crazy dress with a denim jacket after showering. My long, curly brown hair is pulled back into a ponytail, and my face is refreshed. I don't use any makeup.
I went downstairs to the living room, sat up on the couch, and got out a magazine of Vogue to read when I heard a voice.
"Do you mind if I come in?" I turned around and saw a beautiful girl with waist-length dark hair, flawless white skin, and sea-blue eyes. Her name is Rayna, and she is Aaron's cousin sister. I met her at our wedding, and she is a friendly and beautiful girl not only in appearance but also in heart.
I hugged her with a trembling smile, and she hugged me back.
"Ah, Eter, my lovely sister-in-law, how are you doing?" she asked, glancing at me.
"Wow, how are you doing?" I inquired.
"I'm pissed off, you know, the human resources department at Knight Industries is very difficult to deal with, and I vow I'm not going to leave those annoying staff alive," she grumbled.
"Ah, please spare that poor employee," I said, laughing. "So, what would you like to have?" I asked.
"Nothing," she responded, "just a glass of water." Amy offers me and Rayna her world-famous chocolate cookies, as well as cupcakes and coffee.
"Thank you, Amy," Rayna expressed gratitude to her.
After Amy has gone,  "You're so lovely," Rayna replied, "how's my brother doing?"
"Um, he's good," I responded, puzzled for words.
She let out a sigh. "Eter I know Aaron is cold and jerkish toward you, but trust me when I say that I feel he is changing because of you. I mean, anytime he looks at you, I see some emotion flash over his eyes, and believe me when I say that you are the sun in his dark world." She smiled at me as she placed her palm over mine.
I remained silent. I'm not sure what to say about this.
"All right, get ready, because we're going shopping," she exclaimed, clapping her hands.
I casually stroll into my room to change my clothing. With blue denim pants and white sneakers, I wore a white long mesh floral lace insert crop top. Then I came down, sat in Rhyna's car, and we drove to our destination.
********
We walked into the mall's Forever 21 store.
"Try this, Eter," Ryana shouted as he hurled a blue short dress with a deep v-neck at my face.
With a tiny cry, I said to her, "This?"
"Please try this," she murmured, a pouty expression on her face.
I walk over to the dressing room and try on the outfit.
It's lovely, however, it has a deep neck that exposes my cleavage and ends at my thighs.
Excessively exposing I never wear dresses that expose too much of my body. I emerged from the changing room. "How am I looking?" I inquired.
"Wow, Eter," she continued, winking at me and laughing, "it's really lovely, my brother is very lucky to have such a gorgeous and sexy wife."
I chuckled along with her and shook my head. This woman is insane.
"All right, let's try some more outfits," she replied, handing me a lovely crimson tulle dress that I really like.
"I was surprised when I changed into that dress and saw in the mirror; it seemed like time stopped; it's an extraordinary red tulle dress that doesn't reveal much of my cleavage, which I am grateful for; it's incredibly gorgeous."
We went to McDonald's for lunch after our shopping, and Rhyna dropped me off at Mansion.
*******
It's late at night, and I'm sitting in our Mansion's marvelous garden, surrounded by the fragrant roses and flowers that make me feel so unique and rejuvenated.
I was simply looking at the lovely sky stars that sparkled and glittered how wonderful this view is when I noticed a shooting star.
The Make a Wish thing with a fallen star or shooting star is well-known.  Given the mystique surrounding shooting stars, it's no surprise that they've spawned a slew of superstitions. Gazing at these stars offers you luck and fulfills your wishes.
